Tasting Notes 酒評

The Saintayme is a pure Merlot picked between 7th and 11th October, raised in 30% new oak. It has a very refined bouquet with dark cherries, blackberry and a touch of violet that shows great clarity and the oak is deftly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with a grainy entry. The acidity is noticeable, lending freshness and bite, with a subtle marine-influenced finish. It does not have the weight of the 2009 or 2010, but it is a very fine Saint Emilion. Tasted April 2013.
