> Grape Variety
90% Abouriou , 10% Merlot
--- Abouriou is a grape with a dark robe and fleshy flesh whose origin, although mysterious, has its roots in the Lot-et-Garonne. One thing is certain, its stronghold is indeed the Marmandais. Here his presence is authenticated in the eighteenth century although he was threatened with extinction in the twentieth in the infatuation of winemakers for grape varieties of Bordeaux. The Cave du Marmandais and its winemakers have decided to rehabilitate it to make their "mascot".

> Tasting Note
“Mainly composed of Abouriou from organic farming, this wine is presented under a dark and deep robe. The nose is gourmand and explosive, on red and black fruits, such as blackcurrant and raspberry, and on spicy and menthol notes. Balanced between power and freshness, the mouth is supported by a frame of fine tannins. The final is enhanced by a spicy point.”

>Tasting Notes
Golden colour with a brilliant disc and slightly silvery reflections. Expressive and complex, the nose reveals many aromas: citrus fruits (pink grapefruit), exotic fruits (mango, pineapple), white flesh fruits (quince, pear) and honey notes. The mouth, with an unctuous attack, reminds the richness of the nose. The palate is ample, offering floral notes, fruity and acidulous. A well-balanced wine with a generous and long final supported by a remarkable freshness.
> Food pairing
Foie Gras, desserts, and roquefort (blue cheese)
