【Wine Sharing】Summer Wines

Hong Kong summers are hot and humid. The discomfort of going to work in office clothes in the heat sometimes gets to me. I can't get enough energy at work, and often feel lethargic by the end of the day. Today, I would like to introduce some wines that help me cool in times like these!

香港夏天又熱又濕, 成日都會令人有悶悶不樂嘅感覺; 工作時總提不起勁來, 放工後又仿似很疲倦咁, 總令人沒精打采~ 就係呢個時候, 不如等我介紹d 夏日美酒俾你地啦～

Val D'Oca used 100% Glera from DOCG Valdobbiadene, Italy for this bottle. The perlage is delicate and smooth, with a refreshing nose of blossoms. The palate has citrusy notes of lime and hints of pink grapefruit. Very refreshing for the summer heat! For a better cooling effect, this wine pairs well with cucumber strips and Caesar salad.

酒莊位於意大利東北部, 選用100% Glera, 達到 DOCG 級別; 氣泡細緻圓滑, 帶有少少白花清新香氣; 口感清爽帶有青檸味道~ 飲一啖清爽怡人, 飲一杯格外提神~ Let's "Get Fresh" together. 我本人仲喜歡邊食青瓜條/ 凱撒沙律伴酒, 好爽架~

2. Cave du Marmandais Crepuscule Blanc 2018

In summer, Sauvignon Blanc, which has a strong fruity aroma, feels like it was made for this weather. There is a rumor that aromatic grapes indicate that the wine will have a high acidity. This is a misconception. Crepuscule Blanc (2018) is a Sav that displays some tartness, but it has a ripe, fruity palate of tropical fruits; especially pineapple. The notes are soothing and relaxing in the heat! I feel like I'm on a beach in Hawaii while enjoying this bottle.

夏天, 少不免會喜歡飲吓帶果香味重嘅 Sauvignon blanc 白酒; 好多人以為果香重即係代表支白酒會較酸啦， 咁就錯喇~

Crepuscule Blanc, AOC Cotes du Marmandais 2018 -選用 100% Sauvignon blanc 會係有少少酸味, 但本身嘅熱情果味, 鳳梨味更多; 飲起來好舒服, 好放鬆~成個腦海都充滿著熱帶水果畫面, 令我仿似置身於夏威夷海灘上~今年疫情沒有機會出國, 唯有自我陶醉一吓吧~

3. Doudet Naudin Vin de France Pinot Noir 2019

For those of you who prefer notes of red summer fruits, we have you covered too: Doudet Naudin’s Pinot Noir Vin de France 2019 is rich in fresh red berry and blackberry aromas; the palate is delicate and smooth. After being lightly chilled, the smell of mint leaves and eucalyptus comes out, leaving the throat feeling more refreshed and cool.
