With vine cultivation tracing back to Roman times, Saint-Émilion could be Bordeaux’s oldest active wine-producing appellation. This UNESCO World Heritage village, famed for its limestone plateau, is home to Château Canon, an imposing estate perched high above the settlement.
Nestled in the Saint-Émilion limestone plateau, Château Canon is an emblematic estate that benefits from an outstanding terroir, which earned it Premier Grand Cru Classé status in 1954. The château overlooks a gentle slope where vines were cultivated as early as Roman times. The vineyard is surrounded by walls that stretch as far as the Saint Émilion village.
The enthusiastic winemaking team does their utmost to reflect Canon's superb terroir and produce wines of great finesse and complexity.
