Burgundy is responsible for a wide variety of fine wines with some of these bottles selling for over 100,000HKD; it is on par with Bordeaux, and both occupy an unshakable position in the international wine world. Burgundy wine-makers have to work hard to make a name for themselves amongst their other competitors as a result. The region is long and narrow with 5 major sub-production areas, namely Chablis, Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune. Cote Chalonnaise and Macon.

勃根地是一個窄長型的產區, 一共有5大子產區，分別是Chablis, Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune. Cote Chalonnaise和Macon.
Burgundy's Notable Villages 產區
Chablis: This area is only allowed to produce white wine. Due to the terroir which can include fossils, it is generally rich in minerals. The chardonnay here is not allowed to be oaked at all, so the wine is usually light-bodied and acidic with notes of stone fruit, sometimes honey and nuts.
Cote de Nuits: It mainly produces matured Pinot Noir, which is known to be elegant and full of flavour. Romanée-Conti is part of this region.
Cote de Beaune: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are both grown, the region is better known for its white wines. Meursault, Chassagne Montrache and other special estates are located here
Pinot Noir, Chardonnay都有種植，但白葡萄酒平均質素較好。Meursault, Chassagne Montrache等特級莊園都位於這裡。
Cote Chalonnaise: The main grape varieties are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. There are no special villages, but the region is known for its crémant.
主要葡萄品種為Pinot Noir, Chardonnay. 沒有特級園，但以出產優質Cremment而聞名。性價比比上兩個產區要好。
Macon: Located in the southernmost part of Burgundy, the weather is warmer than Chablis, and the harvest can be two weeks ahead of schedule. They mainly produce Chardonnay with some excellent vintages being produced in Pouilly-Fuisse, which is characterised by its soft palate.
Burgundy’s cru system / AOC 分級制度
Burgundy has 4 classes: PGI, Villages,1er (premier) cru and grand cru.
The production area accounts for 52% of the total output, and it is usually marked with "Bourgogne".
“Villages” accounts for 35% of the total output, and the name of the village will be indicated on the wine label.
“1er cru” accounts for 11% of the total output, and the vineyards occupy a small area, but there are many. The wine label is marked as "village name + premier cru/1er cru + vineyard name"
一共有四個級別，產區級; 村莊級; 一級園; 特級園。
一級園佔整體產量11%，葡萄園的佔地不大，但數量很多。酒標標示為”村莊名+premier cru/1er cur+葡萄園名稱”
Doudet Naudin Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018
This is a 100% Pinot Noir from AOC Burgundy, matured in stainless steel then bottle-aged for 12 months. The nose is what is expected of a 3-year-old Pinot Noir, expressing aromas of ripe cranberry, red cherry, red plum and raspberry. It pairs well with dark meats like duck and pork, and mild hard cheeses such as aged cheddar and edam. It can be drunk when young or be left to age for another 3-5 years.
Doudet Naudin Bourgogne Chardonnay Blanc 2017
This wine is also from the AOC Burgu, 100% Chardonnay and is matured in stainless steel tanks for 8 months. The colour comes out a pale gold, the nose detects woody notes such as gorse and bergamot, but also fruity notes of pear, apple and white peach. The palate is acidic and dry, as a chardonnay should be. This bottle is enjoyed with light, salty foods such as seafood and grilled chicken breast. It can be consumed immediately or aged for another 2-3 years.

Doudet Naudin Crémant de Bourgogne Brut
AOC Bourgogne sparkling wine, produced methode traditionale ; the same as Champagne. This bottle is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chadonnay. The perlage is foamy and fresh. The palate is crisp and citrusy which matches well with shellfish, carbonara and fish.
AOC Bourgrgogne級別氣泡酒，與香檳同樣制法，以Pinot Noir, Chadonnay混釀而成。清新、幼細泡沫、有些許柑橘香味，可配貝殼類、燒春雞、魚肉。
