Qvevri wine-making started 8 thousand years ago in Georgia and this tradition is still preserved today. The Georgian traditional method of making Qvevri wine was awarded the status of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Monuments in 2013, which indicates the uniqueness of this method and sends a message to the whole world that wine is an integral part of ancient Georgian culture. This recognition is important for raising the awareness of Qvevri wine and will contribute to the popularization of Georgian wine worldwide.
Pinewood Wine is the official partner of National Wine Agency of Georgia in Hong Kong. With 8000 years of winemaking history, Georgia is no doubt the father of wine and the first "old world". Since "old world" is the main focus of our wine portfolio, we felt the necessity to introduce this history wine region to our customers. This is how our partnership with National Wine Agency of Georgia started. Top wineries from Georgia were chosen by us to be the pioneer Georgian wine troop entering Hong Kong's market. At the moment, Pinewood Wine is the largest Georgian wine importer in Hong Kong.
