Wine is a must item in a wedding, it can bring luck because of the red outlook. Even though the hotel may provide the table wines for the wedding, the quality still to be considered. People prefer to choose by themselves and hope for the big day to be perfect. If you have too many guests, I believe part of the wine can use from the hotel and part of them choose by ourselves, otherwise, it is easily over budget.
I have a wine lover friend, and he spent his mind on wine selection. First, he arranges the seat base on our meeting year. For example, we met in 2013, and the guest from the same table also met him around 2013. So the wine on the table is 2013. The wines for the main seat are the born year of the couple. It is hard to find old wines like that. I am so jealous.

Domaine Roger Sabon - CDP Cuvee Prestige 2010, 750ml
Located at Châteauneuf Du Pape for nearly 500 years, Domaine Roger Sabon is one of the best 10 wineries and on the list of “Robert Parker’s 155 greatest wineries”. This 2010 wine has RP96. The winery insists do not undergo any filter, in order to show their terroir.
"An absolutely profound offering, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Prestige requires 5-6 years of cellaring given its massive concentration and tannic structure. The wine was relatively closed the day I tasted it, but it did display an inky/purple color along with hints of camphor, graphite, creme de cassis, kirsch, licorice, and espresso beans. Full-bodied and moderately tannic with gorgeous freshness, glycerin, and a skyscraper-like texture, this superb cuvee should be at its finest between 2018-2030+."

Chateau d'Armailhac, Pauillac 5eme Cru, 2012 750ml

"Part of the empire of the Chateau Mouton Rothschild, this estate was once known as Mouton Baronne Philippe. This impressive, deep, opaque ruby/purple wine, with loads of charcoal, crème de cassis, and a flowery-ness, is rich, medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured, quite pure, and avoids any of the astringency or hollowness that some Médocs possess in this vintage. The wine is complete and finishes authoritatively. The tannins are there, but ripe, integrated, and velvety. This is a very impressive d’Armailhac to drink over the next 20-25 years. Drink: 2015 - 2040."
