Tasting Notes |
Tasted at the Union de Grand Cru. The Carbonnieux 2010 is a little bashful on the nose, but it is quite elegant with light blackberry and boysenberry aromas, a touch of sous-bois and cigar box. Its precocity out of barrel seems to have abated. The palate is much more promising with fine tannins, a palpable sense of symmetry and great tension and poise on the finish. Once the aromatics reveille, this will be a great little Pessac-Leognan. Tasted November 2012. Score: 92, Neal Martin, |
